Anglet, the "Little California" of the Basque coast
15 minutes from the campsite, Anglet is a seaside resort entirely dedicated to discovering nature, fitness and outdoor activities. This is not surprising since Anglet has more than 4 km of beach, waves that make surfers dream, a pine forest next to the ocean, an internationally renowned golf course, a thalasso centre with direct access to the beach.
The beaches of Anglet, the embarrassment... of the choice
The camper in search of hot sand and waves will be conquered! The Basque resort has no less than 11 beaches, most of which are supervised during the summer season. You can practice surfing, stand up paddle, sea kayaking, wave-skiing, Hawaiian canoe...
If we had to choose only one, we would go for the beach of La Madrague, the prettiest according to the "Angloys" (not our British friends, but the inhabitants of Anglet). If you are a surfer, the Cavaliers beach is all found. It hosts professional surfing competitions. As for the beach of the Ocean, it cultivates its wild side and naturism is tolerated.

Would you like to spend a day fishing at Anglet? From the breakwater marina, cast off and go fishing for bonito, mackerel, bass and tuna with friends or with an instructor.
If golf is your passion, come and test the green of the Golf de Chiberta. The creator of this mythical route is none other than the British Tom Simpson!
Finally, to recharge your batteries, give yourself a day at the Thalasso d'Anglet, at the foot of Cavaliers beach. Perfect to combine the benefits of the sea and tailor-made treatments!

If cycling is one of your favourite pastimes, the cliff walk will delight you. On the way, stop at the cave of the room of Love. Legend has it that two young lovers used to meet there in secret until the day they were trapped by the rising waters and drowned...
If you prefer the smell of pine trees to that of sea spray, head for the forests of Pignada, Lazaret and Chiberta. In the heart of the pine forest (250 ha), the greenways allow walkers and cyclists to find a little freshness during the hottest hours of summer, but also to keep fit thanks to a healthy trail. There is also a accrobranche course for children: monkey bridges, footbridges, zip lines, nets...
At the mouth of the Adour, the Izadia Ecological Park offers a wonderful opportunity to discover the fauna and flora of the coast, from the Bird Beach to the pine and cork oak forest. Take the opportunity to visit the Maison de l'Environnement, which offers many activities during the summer.
