COVID-19

Will I be asked for a sanitary pass when I arrive?

Following government announcements (subject to change by the government), the vaccination pass and sanitary pass will not be in force at Biarritz Camping.

BOOKING

How can I book?

Bookings can be made directly on our website: https://www.biarritz-camping.fr/ 
If you have any problems or special requests, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone.

Can I book several types of accommodation online?

Yes, it is possible to book several accommodations online. 
Please contact reception at +33 5 59 23 00 12 if you would like a quote.

Can I choose my pitch?

For better organisation, we allocate pitches directly. However, you can make requests in the comments when you make your reservation. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this, but we will do our best to meet your request.

How can I check that my booking has been registered?

You can check your booking in the "my account" area. 
You will also receive an email when your booking is confirmed.

Will I have to pay a deposit on the day of my booking?

The deposit for rental properties must be paid online via our partner SWIKLY. You will receive an email a few days before your arrival telling you how to make the compulsory deposit.

When can I pay my deposit?

Reservations will only be confirmed upon receipt of the duly completed booking contract, accompanied by a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the stay, plus booking fees of €28.

Can I come in and check in at any time?

You can check in as scheduled: from 14:00 for pitches and from 16:30 for rentals until 19:00. (8pm in high season).
For late arrivals, please contact reception to make arrangements.

Are minors accepted?

Unaccompanied under-18s are not permitted to stay at our campsite.

MY PAYMENT METHOD

How can I pay for my stay?

You can pay by : 
credit card, 
"paper" holiday vouchers + "connect" holiday vouchers,
check,
cash.

How do I pay for my booking?

Bookings will only be confirmed once we have received the duly completed booking contract, together with a deposit of 25% of the total cost of the holiday, plus a booking fee of €28. The holidays offered are in principle available subject to verification with the establishment concerned by your request.
The balance must be paid no later than 30 days before the date of arrival at the campsite, as stipulated on the payment request. If you register less than 30 days before the start of your stay, full payment will be required at the time of booking. Failure to pay by the due date will result in the outright cancellation of the holiday and the application of the cancellation charges referred to in the "CANCELLATION" paragraph.
Unaccompanied persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to stay at our campsite.

Do you take VACAF vouchers?

Biarritz Camping is not affiliated to the CAF holiday aid scheme.
VACAF vouchers are therefore not accepted at Biarritz Camping.

CANCEL / CHANGE MY BOOKING

What are the conditions for modifications ?

No discount will be granted for late arrivals, early departures or changes in the number of people (whether for all or part of the planned stay). In the event of late arrival: Please notify us by e-mail or post or by telephone within 24 hours of your arrival.

In the event of interruption: Once the stay has begun, the full price of the stay is retained by the campsite. There is no refund possible for early departure or late arrival, whatever the reason.

In the event of a change :
Up to 14 days before arrival, the stay can be changed free of charge if it takes place during the current season (from 7 April to 29 October 2023). 
Any difference in price at the time of the change between the old and new stay will be charged to the customer. If the new holiday is less expensive than the old one, the difference will not be reimbursed.

How do I cancel my holiday?

In the event of cancellation, the customer must immediately inform the campsite in writing (e-mail or registered letter).

What are the cancellation conditions?

All cancellations are subject to the following charges:

The full deposit, i.e. 25% of the total cost of the holiday, will be retained.
D-29 to D-7 of the holiday start date

In all cases, the €28 booking fee will be retained.

How can I check that my booking has been registered?

Your booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us giving you your file number and customer number. You will receive this email once your deposit has been paid.

"Campez couvert" cancellation insurance with "covid extension"?

Cancellation insurance is evolving with the introduction of a COVID extension. It covers the COVID individually in the event of illness, serious illness or death, for all guarantees, whether insurance or assistance.

Biarritz Camping offers cancellation and interruption insurance as part of the booking contract via its partner Gritchen Affinity.
In the event of cancellation, the customer must notify the campsite by post or e-mail as soon as an event occurs that prevents his or her departure.

If the claim is covered by the general conditions (available on the www.campez-couvert.com website or from the campsite), the customer must notify the insurer within 48 hours and provide all the necessary information and supporting documents:

In the event of interruption or cancellation of the holiday by a customer who has not taken out insurance, Biarritz Camping will under no circumstances refund any sums paid and/or due.

SERVICES / FACILITIES

What are the reception opening hours?

Open from 8.30am to 12.30pm and from 2pm to 7pm in low season and from 8.30am to 8pm in high season.

What should I do if I arrive late?

Are you arriving outside reception opening hours and outside the hours when the night watchman is on duty?
Please contact us by telephone on 05.59.23.0012 or by email: biarritz.camping@gmail.com to let us know and we will explain the procedure for late arrivals.
(Possibility of access to your rental by car until 23:00. Outside parking is compulsory after 11pm).

What are the opening hours of your facilities?

The swimming pool is open from 10am to 7pm.
Showers are open from 07:00 to 23:00.
The bar, restaurant and grocery shop are open daily from 08:00.

How can I get a map of the campsite?

You can visit our website www.biarritz-camping.fr and then go to ....
When you arrive, our receptionists will provide you with a map of the campsite and a welcome booklet with all the information you need about our campsite.

Do I have to pay for water fitness activities?

No, just show up with your campsite wristband.

Are there any activities for children?

We have no kids' club or nursery.

Is it possible to hire bicycles?

You can hire electric or non-electric bikes from the shop.
We also work with a bike hire company that offers preferential rates to our customers.

Is there a laundromat?

Yes, in the communal toilets, you need to buy tokens at reception.

Can I use my own washing powder?

Yes, you can use your own washing powder. 
Alternatively, you can buy it at the campsite reception.

THE RESTAURANT / CONVENIENCE STORE

What are the restaurant opening times?

8am-2pm and 5pm-10pm in low season.
8am-11pm in high season.

What are the shop opening times?

8am-2pm and 5pm-10pm in low season. 
8am-11pm in high season.

Can I buy fresh bread at the campsite?

Yes, every morning at the convenience store (no need to book).

Does the restaurant welcome outside visitors?

Yes.

MY CAR AT THE CAMPSITE

If we arrive with two cars, can they both get in?

The vehicle of people renting a canvas bungalow and the second vehicle for other rentals must be parked in the campsite's outdoor car park. You may enter to unload your car.

What are the traffic regulations at the campsite?

Inside the campsite, vehicle speed is strictly limited to 10 km/h. Traffic is prohibited between 11pm and 7am. During this period, vehicles must be parked outside in the spaces provided. Only vehicles belonging to people staying at the campsite may be used. Unless specifically recommended by the campsite representative, vehicles must be parked on the allocated pitch (or on the campsite's outside car park provided for this purpose) and must under no circumstances obstruct traffic.

Can I charge my electric vehicle on the pitches or mobile homes?

We do not have charging points for electric vehicles and we ask our visitors to go to 9 Avenue Beau Rivage, 64200 Biarritz where the nearest charging point is located.

OTHER BUSINESS

Can we have a barbecue?

Yes, you can bring your barbecue and grill on the pitch itself or even hire it from the restaurant (€12 charcoal included).
It is just forbidden to do so on the wooden terraces of the mobile homes.

Is it possible to hire a refrigerated locker or fridge?

Yes, the campsite has a rental service. The refrigerated lockers are located in the main sanitary block. The fridges are placed on your pitch on the day of your arrival. The fridge can only be hired if you have somewhere covered to keep it for the duration of your stay.
Advance booking required, subject to stock availability.

Is a WIFI connection available?

Yes, there is FREE WIFI throughout the campsite, except at reception.

THE SWIMMING POOL

Are swimming shorts allowed?

For reasons of hygiene and safety, men must wear briefs or boxer shorts and women must wear a one-piece or two-piece swimming costume, bikini or trikini.
Anyone not wearing swimming attire that complies with these rules will not be allowed access to our pool area.

Can I use the swimming pool without being a campsite guest?

No, it is not possible to use the campsite swimming pool if you are not a customer.

Is the pool heated?

Our pool is heated to 28 degrees at all times. Our pool is covered on cooler days before and after the season.

Are wristbands compulsory?

Yes, for all customers, including our customers' visitors.

Is the pool supervised?

Our swimming pool is supervised in high season by a lifeguard. 
Children remain under the full responsibility/supervision of their parents.

Are children allowed in the hammam?

No, only for people over 18.

MY BUNGALOW, MY MOBILE HOME

What time do I have to leave my rental?

You must vacate your accommodation by 11am maximum. You will be offered a time to check out on your arrival. Please confirm if this is convenient for you.

Are there cots for babies?

Baby cots are available for hire (€10/week), please ask when booking.

Are the beds made up on arrival?

No, but possible at extra cost.

Are sheets provided?

No, but possible at extra cost.

Are duvets provided?

No, but possible at extra cost.

Are pillows provided?

Yes.

Do we need to bring our own towels?

Yes. Alternatively, to save you the hassle, we offer towels for hire.

Are rental properties air-conditioned?

Only mobile homes marbella Premium, milady Premium and Cottage Lurra, Cottage Haizea and Cottage Ura)

Can I add a tent next to the rented bungalow?

It is strictly forbidden to put tents on the pitches of mobile homes and canvas bungalows. The maximum number of occupants is the capacity indicated for each type of accommodation.

Is end-of-stay cleaning included?

You must leave the mobile home clean. A cleaning fee of 85 euros will be charged if you do not leave the mobile home as you found it. 
A Cleaning Fairy package can be booked at reception. Please note that this does not exempt you from washing dishes and taking out the trash.

MY PITCH

Are there water connections on the pitches?

No, the pitches do not have a water connection. However, you can buy a token at reception for 100 litres of water.

Is there a service area for motorhomes?

Yes, there is a service area in the car park outside.

What type of electrical connection do the plots have?

The pitches have a European connection (3 points) of 10 Amperes.

What time do we have to leave the site?

Before noon on the day of departure.

Are the pitches flat?

Most of our pitches are flat, although some require a wedge.

Can we access our pitch with a camper van + trailer?

Yes, this is possible, but not on all our pitches. You can leave your trailer in our car park.

ANIMATIONS

Do you offer any events ?

Yes, since this year, we've wanted to develop the entertainment on our campsite. 
Throughout the summer season (July-August) you'll find entertainment for children and adults alike.
Sports activities, hikes, workshops, concerts, shows and much more.

Off season, we offer excursions with our partner Txiki combi.

However, we do not have a children's club or nursery.

Where can I find the events schedule?

You can find the schedule of events on our website www.biarritz-camipng.fr under the heading "events".

The schedule is also displayed at reception and next to the toilet blocks.

Is there a charge for entertainment?

Most of our events are free. 
However, some activities are subject to a supplement. Fee-paying activities are indicated on our schedule and when you make your reservation at reception. 
If you wish to take part in a chargeable activity, you must pay when you make your booking.

Do I have to pay for water fitness activities?

No, just show up with your campsite wristband.

Are there any activities for children?

Yes, we have activities and workshops for children, but we don't have a kids' club or nursery.

LOCALISATION DU CAMPING

Does public transportation run past the campsite?

Yes, line 38 passes in front of the campsite and takes you into the town centre.
Bus 44 takes you to the nearest supermarkets.

How far is the campsite from the ocean?

Biarritz Camping is 700 metres from the beach, around 10 minutes on foot.

How far is the campsite from the town centre?

Biarritz Camping is located around 2km from Biarritz town centre.

Is there a supermarket nearby?

Biarritz camping has a convenience store. 
The nearest supermarkets are Intermarché and Lidl, less than 7 minutes away in Bidart.

How far are we from Spain?

Spain is 30 minutes from Biarritz.

ANIMALS

Are dogs or pets allowed on the campsite?

No, unfortunately our four-legged friends are not allowed in.

RESPONSIBLE CAMPING

How is waste managed at the campsite?

Waste management is very important at the campsite. 
Thanks to containers, we can set up selective sorting.

In each mobile home, we have contactors to avoid over-consumption of electricity. The lights switch off when you leave the mobile home.

Our cleaning products are eco-labelled and you can find local products in our convenience store.
